Black Friday is a pretty big deal in the United States, at least in terms of shopping/retail. It's like a special holiday for people who can't stand to have too much cash in their wallets, purses, or bank accounts!
The problem is that it's no longer very easy to get your hands on the best "deals" being offered in those big brick-and-mortar stores. The "consumer competition" levels have skyrocketed in recent years, thanks to more free-flowing information channels (thanks internet!) and a bad economy that seems to turn normal people into deal-searching lunatic zombies.
Here's a great video that outlines some pretty useful tips for finding the best Black Friday deals for the 2012 holiday season:
We say: The 3 best tips mentioned are "research," "be courteous," and "plan ahead"... the best tip not mentioned is bring a flask of your favorite whiskey and a designated driver, it makes the whole experience a lot better.

iPod Nano Deals: Get the "Best" Nano for Cheap
Some people love the new 6th Generation iPod Nano from Apple. Many others hate it and are already calling the older, 5th Generation model the "best" Nano of all. Well there's good news for those people: many great deals can now be had on the Apple Store website!Just check out the iPod Nano "Special Deals" section on the store.apple.com website and you'll see for yourself. As you'll see, you can now get the 8GB model for $99 and the 16GB model for $149. Those are pretty cheap prices for such a great product, which has the video capture functionality that the new Nano's lack, to the dismay of some.
So go grab yourself a discount on one of the best iPods ever. Enjoy the same song capacity/memory, a bigger screen, and a heck of a nice video camera. It's definitely a good deal for a high-quality mini mp3 player!

Good Last Minute Gift Ideas for Christmas 2009
Looking for some good ideas for gifts at the "last minute"? The final Christmas of the decade is almost upon us and millions of Americans are searching for good, cheap, and interesting last minute gift ideas. Here are a few of our favorites:
Funny Photo Gifts
Lots of people have funny photos of friends and family laying around somewhere on their computer hard drives. Why not take a few of the good ones and turn them into unique gifts? A large photo in a nice frame printed at home or a Kinko's is a fantastic gift. You could also set up a nice photo collage on Picasa or Flickr and share it with your loved ones. A simple slide show made with Microsoft's free Photo Story is another possibility.
Make a DVD
A popular gift idea these days are custom-made DVDs containing videos and/or photos of family and friends. You could spend just a few hours making a nice video, copy it onto a few dozen DVDs using your PC, and have lots of cheap but unique last minute gift ideas to send out!
Make a Donation
A simple, easy, and thoughtful gift is a donation made in the name of another person. You could donate money -- or even old computers, TVs, clothing, cell phones, etc. -- to a friend's favorite charity in their name and then give them the certificate of appreciation.
Dash to the Stores
Finally, you can always just make a run to the mall or local shops and buy those last minute gifts. In today's poor economy many businesses and merchants are offering great "last minute" deals and discounts on everything from popular electronics to best-selling books to store gift cards.
Jump Online
Many online retailers are offering fantastic shopping deals on the most popular gifts this year. In many cases you can still get them delivered in time for Christmas. And even if they arrive a day or two late, so what? Most people are happy to get a gift anytime!

Products You Should Products You Should NOT Buy at Walmart
Believe it or not, there are certain products you should not buy at Walmart. They include:
High-End Electronics -- Walmart's specialty is "value-oriented" electronics, priced under $1000 bucks. It's employees generally don't know too much about really expensive, high-performance electronics (e.g. high-end stereos and HDTVs). Best Buy is a much better place to buy them.
Books -- Walmart has actually slashed their prices on books too much, say some business experts. This is leading to local bookstores going out of business. Since Walmart only stocks a relatively small selection of the most-popular/best-selling books on the market, eventually you're going to have a very tough time finding many less-popular titles and authors.
Wood Furniture -- Walmart's wood furniture has been traced to suppliers who illegally cut down trees in protected forests all around the world. That's bad for the environment and bad for you. So buy your furniture from stores that only sell products made with 100% "legal" wood.

But we've still got another whole week of great deals to find the hottest products (like the Zhu Zhu hamsters!) at super low prices. Online retailers are offering once-in-a-year bargains like "25% off" sales and free shipping deals. In fact, we've even seen a few incredible "40% off" deals on everything from Nike shoes to Canon photo printers to Lands End outerwear. Now, it's true that in this down economy many retailers are going to continue offering great buys for the entire month of December ("Cyber Month" anyone?). But many of the most-popular products will be gone before the end of this week. So fire up your PC or Mac, jump online fast, and go grab those Cyber Week deals while you still can!

How to Protect Your Wallet on Black Friday
Black Friday is usually a good day to find great deals and discounts on all kinds of popular products. But many of the "deals" retailers promote on Black Friday aren't really deals at all. They're basically just marketing gimmicks used to trick people into buying things they probably don't even really want or need. Visit the link below to learn how to protect your money and avoid getting ripped off on fake "bargains" at all the popular stores (including Best Buy, Walmart, Sears, Target, and even online retailer Amazon.com)...Black Friday Anti-Deals: What Not To Buy
