Droid Google Phone Set to Battle iPhone

The "Droid" smart phone from Motorola will go on sale this Friday. It's another phone based on the open-source operating system called "Android" from Google. It will work on the Verizon mobile network and some people are very excited about it, especially since it may be capable of seriously competing against the Apple iPhone! Google SEO Eric Schmidt says that the smart cell phone market is now on the cusp of an explosion of Android-powered products.
