Miracle Mineral Solution: A Real Cure or a Scam?

An alternative health treatment called the Miracle Mineral Solution -- aka "MMS" or "Miracle Mineral Supplement" -- has been spreading like wildfire for the past couple of years. There are claims from all around the world that it helps to treat and even cure some of the deadliest diseases, including cancer, malaria, tuberculosis, hepatitis, and HIV/AIDS among others.

MMS is really just a strong solution of sodium chlorite that is mixed with an acid like lemon or lime juice (or citric acid) to form chlorine dioxide, a well-known oxidizing agent. Chlorine dioxide is considered to be one of the most powerful oxidizers and pathogen-killers in the world, but until now it was used mainly in industrial water treatment and bleaching processes

Jim Humble, the man who "discovered" MMS -- at least in terms of using it as an internal medical treatment -- claims that it's the answer to many of the world's worst diseases. He says that he's treated over 75,000 people during field tests in Africa, mainly using the chlorine dioxide to kill malaria.

Even though many alternative health forums on the web are filling up with testimonials from happy MMS users, there is still a lot of doubt regarding the effectiveness and safety of this unique product. The United States medical community especially is regarding it, at best, as a worthless scam... at worst, as an extremely dangerous and unproven "snake oil" treatment.

Maybe the most interesting thing about MMS is that it's managed to stick around and actually grow in popularity since Jim Humble first started telling the world about it back in 2007. Most alternative health treatments that provide little or no real benefits are quickly exposed using the information-sharing powers of the Internet. So there may really be something to MMS, even if it's not truly a "cure" for hundreds of diseases.

Do you have a review or testimonial regarding MMS and/or chlorine dioxide? Please leave your feedback in the comments section below. Thanks!

  1. I've used MMS to treat several health issues, from things as simple as athlete's foot to much more serious problems like a severe staph infection in my leg. The stuff simply WORKS, no matter what people say. I'm not a conspiracy guy but I have to believe that alot of the pressure coming from the government now has something to do with the multi-billion-dollar pharmaceutical industry being threatened by an extremely cheap and safe alternative to their high-priced drugs!

    1. Hi john. I have a staph infection called MRSA and i have had mms in my fridge forever cuz i use it for my teeth. I see that this help with your staph infection, so im wondering if you could tell me details like how long you took it for and what the quantity is for mms and the citric acid. Thank you so much

    2. Yeah I would like to know how you cured MRSA with ? Since you turn it into a gas before drinking it . How do you expect to get it to travel threw the blood stream?

  2. I love MMS. It helped me get rid of several low-level infections I had, including an oral herpes simplex infection I've had for over 40 years. It also gave me back my energy, which is now about 100 times greater than it was before starting on the MMS treatment. So the bottom line is that it's definitely not a scam. For about $10 dollars a year you can get your health back and feel great without taking all the expensive, side-effect-laden pharmaceutical drugs the doctors prescribe like candy!

  3. Are you people serious? This is essentially a bleach solution. Don't you know your basic chemistry? The total ignorance of the American public just shocks me. No, it frightens me. Take a basic organic chemistry course and then realize you're being ripped off.

    1. Hey, Fernandes, if you are so smart, just verify how your neutrophils kill pathogens -- with hypochlorite, my friend. This is used by our immune system as a very powerful weapon against pathogens. Thus, this is in line with the use of MMS, which is, chemically spicking almost the same thing.
"Neutrophils are the most abundant of the innate immune system's cellular arsenal that combats invading pathogens (1–3). Upon activation, neutrophils undergo a respiratory burst leading to the production and release of hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) and concomitant release of myeloperoxidase (MPO) from the azurophilic granules. 4. We're being "ripped" off for $10 a year??? Less than a buck a month?? Hmmmm.... that doesn't seem too bad. I'll certainly take it over the the true rip off that occurs every time a doctor prescribes an over-priced, ineffective pharmaceutical drug!!

  5. I've started a round of mms today. First dose was 1drop, with not a feeling of nausea, or any discomfort at all. I really think I feel more energy, or lightness , or at the very least not achey anywhere ! I have quite a few ailments I'm hoping to relieve. Will keep you posted on outcomes.

no one said that ALL pharmaceuticals are completely ineffective... did they??

but many drugs (dozens if not hundreds) ARE very overpriced while being much less effective than some low-cost alternatives. MMS is a great example of a cheap, safe, and highly effective alternative to many of the dangerous drugs so many doctors love to prescribe these days!

  8. I just wanted to make one comment regarding MMS. I've used it to treat both viral and bacterial infections and it does work. Yeah you feel kinda run down for the first few days but afterward you feel great and your health is much better. What I want to know is this: WHY ARE SO MANY PEOPLE SO ANGRY ABOUT MMS? I mean, if you think it's a dangerous scam or a rip-off YOU DON'T HAVE TO TAKE IT!! No one is forcing it down your throat. Why are you working so hard to make sure that the thousands of people who want to are unable to buy it?? I just don't get this incredible attack that's going on in the US and really the entire world. MMS is not expensive at all and the chemical it produces ("chlorine dioxide") is 100% proven to be one of the most powerful germ killers in the world. This rabid hate coming from so many people just makes no sense to me. I would love for someone to clearly explain why they feel so compelled to attack MMS and its users!

  12. I'm still learning about the stuff, but I think it is funny that the bbc article posted above does make mention of the fact that people are told that the nausea is one of the signs that it is working. While they have a point, it's also true that many many many of the drugs prescribed by doctors also make you nauseated, cause liver damage, kidney damage, and a long list of many other things. Why isn't BBC setting up little 15 year olds to give out warnings and posting articles about those drug-relate side-efects? Mmm...maybe because it wouldn't sell. We already know and accept the fact that drugs make you sick...heck...some (chemo) even kill you. We know and accept that...mmmm...wow...how strange is that, we accept and believe in some things...even though there's always a 20 second faste-paced, muttered "fine print" read at the end of every new big-pharma comercial out there. "May cause headaches, diahrea, nausea, liver damange...bla bla bla..." Mmm...they sure do have us all plenty brain washed..don't they? Maybe we're all brain washed. Some by big-pharma, and some by alternative medicine. Like I said at the begining...I'm still researching all of this.

  13. First things first: MMS does NOT cure "all" diseases! It's not a miracle at all, just a simple chemical used all over the world. It CAN, however, help to treat many serious health issues. I know this because I've been experimenting with it for the past 12 months or so. I've seen it help several family members and about 2 dozen close friends with things ranging from serious gum disease to life-threatening viral infections to painful arthritis.

Should someone take it in huge amounts or on a long-term basis? Probably not, at least not until more is known about possible side-effects. But people with health problems caused by bacteria or viruses should definitely look into using MMS to help heal themselves. No matter what they say, MMS (sodium chlorite) is really CHEAP and relatively easy to use. You need to go slow, especially at the beginning, as your body clears dead virus and bacteria cells. But, after my own experiencies, I can promise you'll feel better within a few days and you just might be a hell of a lot healthier too...

  14. I don't much about this yet but if we're supposed to "wake up" or "educate" ourselves because this is same as bleach.... well, HELLO! You heard of Propylene Glycol, Triethanolamine, Mineral Oil... and so on, these things are used in every day products which have been lab tested as causing numerous side effects, illnesses, skin irritation, some hair loss, cancer and so on. YET these 3 are probably the top chemicals used in our every day beauty and hygiene products. FDA, Government, or whoever is supposed to be looking out for the summer is the biggest bunch of crap every. Because they've been poisoning the public for years and allowing things to be put on the market... why? its all for profit. So if people want to try a new poison, hey at least this one won't cost them hundreds or thousands of dollars.

It has not disappeared completely yet and when it does, I will post the results. Other members of my family have also treated some ailments with MMS with incredible results.

  16. Its been at least an year since I encountered MMS and here is my take on the nice and suspicious part of this product

Ten things Nice about Jim Humble, his book and MMS:
    1. Great testimonials (From Cancer to cold except malaria)
    2. Part2 of the eBook MMS available on request
    3. The chapter on how to make MMS in part2 of the book
    4. The price-Just 20$
    5. The duration the solution lasts
    6. The hope that it generates
    7. The anti vaccine drive (most proponent of alternative medicines are identified with)
    8. The panacea on earth
    9. The introduction to “Why Animals Don’t get heart attack but people do “ in part2 of the book
    10. Excellent relief as far as oral hygiene is concerned

Ten things Suspicious about Jim Humble, his book and MMS:
    1. The healthwyze report –http://healthwyze.org/index.php/another-fraud-of-alternative-medicine-mms.html
    2. The doctored photos in the book
    3. Posting favorable MMS links with scam tag ( if you Google MMS Scam you might end up with an MMS SELLER)
    4. Jims claim that he is the inventor of automatic garage door -http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Garage_door_opener
    5. He also claims that his proposal to cure malaria by many organisations was rejected but no proof of it is given(No rejection letter)
    6. He is an aeronautical Engineer, an inventor but he does not possess any skills to launch even a template based website, he rants about his short comings regarding this in part1 of the book and how a ten year old web developer made his life hell.
    7. Dr.Segura’s Warning-http://www.examiner.com/human-rights-in-national/mms-alert-conmen-convince-gulf-residents-to-drink-chlorine
    8. No peer reviewed articles
    9. The realization that testimonials can be spurious
    10. The new protocol- Three drops eight times a day for three weeks(Unlike the four hour malaria cure)

Don’t get annoyed with my poor English. Its my second language. Help me reconstruct these sentences and together we will present an unbiased view

I have faith that someday soon the government (US or other) and hopefully a few universities will do some real research on taking MMS / sodium chlorite / chlorine dioxide internally. I'm a skeptic and I still think it may be risky but I used MMS daily for a few weeks last December and got some VERY good results. A long-time gum infection cleared up and my energy levels increased about 300%. Overall I felt much better than I had in years! I still take it anytime I feel a cold or flu coming on and haven't been sick at all this winter (first time in my life that's happened). It's obviously too cheap for the major drug companies to show interest in. No big profit means no research incentive for them. But I think just a few well-done scientific studies could quickly show how well MMS works or doesn't work. Come on researchers, show some backbone and get moving on this please!

  18. I took MMS to treat hepatitis C. Things were going pretty well with the lower doses.. when I worked my way up to eleven drops however, I became extremely ill and stopped taking it. At a checkup almost two weeks after i stopped taking MMS, my doctor did routine blood-work to check my liver enzymes and he was aghast at the super high levels. He told me my liver was on the verge of failure. While I cant state for certain that the MMS caused this, I can say that it did NOT cure my hepatitis. So be careful because if something sounds too good to be true, it probably is.

  19. i've taken MMS for a serious long-term viral infection as well. i found out quickly that it works much better when taken in small doses, even if you take multiple doses per day. once i hit the 10-12 drops-at-a-time level i start to have problems. i looked into it and even 8 or 9 drops at once is a HUGE dose of chlorine dioxide for a human body. just recently i saw that they've changed the recommendations on the main MMS site and no longer recommend taking very large doses, but rather several small doses to treat serious viral and bacterial infections. the thing to remember with this stuff is that it is a powerful chemical and you need to be careful when taking it. at the same time i am VERY GRATEFUL to have discovered it and can honestly say that it has given me my life back! - Gina

The FDA can not really impose a regulation to encourage the use of effective Alernative Cures even though it is Cheap for the reason of Conflict of Interest This what I have said are all mentioned in the BOOK of Kevin Trudeau titled NATURAL CURES WHICH THEY DON'T WANT YOU TO KNOW. I have a copy of his book Part l and Part ll. The FDA is a SILENT BUSINESS PARTNER OF PHARMACEUTICAL DRUGS.Though many patients were poisoned or killed by the serious side effects of the pharmadrugs, their concern is only to make profits and not to cure. Any body who wants to know more of my comments can order the book of Kevin Trudeau at Natural Cures They Don't You To Know thru the Internet.

  25. Jim Humble calls himself an Archbishop now. He has his own church, and for several thousand dollars you can join him in puerto rico and become a minister, then eventually a bishop. If you continue to take classes, they award the title "Exalted One." Jim Humble started out as Bishop, is now Archbishop, and next month he will be known as "Pope Bishop". I've heard that, in his presence, he must be referred to as "Your Holiness." He has teams of people scouring the internet posting positive things about MMS, because they can make batches of it for about 30 cents, and sell the bottles for $19.99. It's a wonderful business, but sadly, it is just a business, and lots of people have experienced damage from drinking bleach.

  26. Billough. How do you know what you say is true. I have read from Jim's site that it is in the neighborhood of less than 2000 to go to his teachings. I am assuming that he is doing this because of the FDA and the Government watchdogs, and mainly because the FDA are zombies for the drug companies.
It's your conclusion that MMS isn't good for anyone. It sounds like your a bit envious about his endeavors in helping thousands upon thousands of people who need his guidance. 19.99 is very little to pay for what the results show from people that have used it. why don't you take your zombie carcass out of here and spread your negativity elsewhere.

  27. Chlorine Dioxide (the gas MMS+acid forms) is an AMAZING chemical that is going to prove to be extremely valuable in the near future for water purification and bacteria/virus control. Even though I disagree with the way Jim Humble promotes MMS I do thank him for introducing this substance to the public and, in the process, helping me treat several serious health problems I've dealt with for years - problems mainstream medicine and even alternative medicine could not effectively treat. I strongly suggest anyone interested in learning about MMS and chlorine dioxide ignore Jim Humble's wacky stuff and instead focus on the proven science-based evidence behind these chemicals. MMS, sodium chlorite, and chlorine dioxide are all relatively safe if you use them properly. Go slow and don't take very large doses at a time or you'll kill too much bacteria, virus, parasites, etc. too quickly and make yourself sick. I hate the taste of MMS but I LOVE how it's improved my health over the past 2 years. Give it a try and, as long as you're careful, you won't be sorry!

  29. For scepticals I give here a hint that I think takes some fog out of sight:
    http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2853435/
Neutrophils are the most abundant of the innate immune system's cellular arsenal that combats invading pathogens (1–3). Upon activation, neutrophils undergo a respiratory burst leading to the production and release of hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) and concomitant release of myeloperoxidase (MPO) from the azurophilic granules. MPO amplifies the oxidant response of neutrophils by converting H2O2 to hypochlorous acid (4, 5). Hypochlorous acid is in equilibrium with chlorine gas (4). Collectively, hypochlorous acid, its conjugate anion, hypochlorite, and chlorine gas comprise the reactive chlorinating species (RCS) produced by activated neutrophils.

I finish my coment with underlining the fact that our immune system use these powerful molecules to overcome infections with all sorts of pathogens, from viruses to worms... If used wisely, MSM seems to be our best weapon against pathogens, much more efficient than anything the BIG PHARMA has for sale.
Take my advise as a researcher -- this is serious, and in my prospect, it is the best tool that came to man, ever, to fight pathogens.

  30. WEll, I know no more than I did before reading because all too often there are those that will write stories because they simply believe or want to believe. I've been researching this and cannot seem to find but one site that speaks plainly. His findings after more than two years is the same, no actual documented evidence either way and one statement lends me to wait, if there are literally thousands of people cured then why is there not one documented case. Even here I see several people say "I'm starting now and will keep you posted but no posts... During my research (for asthma relief/cures) I found a natural "miracle" cure all known for thousands of years called black seed. It makes some sense to "kill" bad bacteria but it makes more sense to help the body do it for itself which "Black seed" or (Nigella Sativa) and I found the best price at a food site because all the others naturally like the pharmaceuticals charge more for it if it is being used medicinally (creeps run in every vein of life and I've noticed that all too many so called "lovers", "freedom fighters", "pay-triots" "naturalists" etc. are in it for the money too.) http://www.myspicesage.com/nigella-sativa-p-181.html?s_kwcid=TC-8599-11437976748-bb-216386528 and a great site for info is http://www.whydontyoutrythis.com/2013/09/black-seed-the-remedy-for-everything-but-death.html So I'm gonna go that way and see what happens first.
If someone has or can fully document miraculous results then it should be published. It is not hard especially with today’s videos, pictures and witnesses to validate it along the way. Again though I am inclined at all times to strengthen the natural system to fight for itself, but if it works on cancer quickly or any other serious infection then I say have at!

  32. I resisted taking MMS for years because I was 100% sure it was a scam, despite a close friend's advice to try it. There are lots of very convincing anti-MMS articles online by various health and science "experts" and I assumed they knew what they're talking about. Turns out they don't know shit, at least not about what MMS really is and how it really works.

After years of suffering from various medical conditions and getting to the point where my normal medications were causing intolerable side-effects, I finally decided to give MMS a try. I was at the point of contemplating suicide so I figured there was nothing to lose. All I can say is that it was one of the best decisions of my life. Within 2 months I felt 500% better and all of my health conditions improved greatly. Even my arthritis pain reduced significantly and I'm not able to sleep without taking sleeping pills for the first time in about 20 years.

I still don't believe MMS is a true "cure all" because it hasn't cured all of my health conditions. But it does kill many types of dangerous bacteria and seems to knock out viruses extremely well. If you have a long-term viral infection I highly recommend giving MMS a try. The side effects aren't exactly fun but they go away after just a few weeks, unlike the side effects of most heavy duty prescription drugs which last as long as you take them.

I was almost at my breaking point, when my mom brought me some MMS to try. Within hours the pain in my throat had decreased dramatically and my fever broke. I was amazed at how quickly it worked! Another success story I had with MMS was with my daughter. I noticed she had a wart develope on her knee. I wondered what MMS would do to a wart, so I made up the solution and applied a little to her knee with a q-tip. I did this for a few days and within a week it had completely disappeared, and to this day, never has reappeared.

  34. After years of fearing MMS due to all the "it's dangerous bleach!" propaganda I finally gave it a try last month to treat a persistent lung problem. I've had some horrible side effects from antibiotics (I'm extremely sensitive to Cipro and other fluoroquinolones) so I didn't want to take more. All I can say is that I wasted years suffering from health problems and, even worse, painful antibiotic side effects because I believed the anti-MMS bullshit. After taking it for just 1 week my symptoms improved 80%. If you have any type of persistent bacterial or viral infection I HIGHLY recommend using MMS. It's not nearly as dangerous as many of the drugs your doctor will give you!

Isn't mercury the main ingredient in my tooth fillings (and our fluorescent light bulbs)? Many, many people are prescribed metformin (rat poisoning) as a blood thinner. And people in Arkansas have been arrested and had their kids taken away for having MMS in their household?? Is this stuff worse than cigarette-smoking and pot-smoking and beer drinking?
